The goal of the foundation is to contribute to the development of biodynamic agriculture and horticulture. It aims to encourage people to have a loving and respectful relationship with the Earth, and to inspire them to find new paths that lead to connecting and working with the spiritual worlds.
The foundation aims to propagate this from an anthroposophical perspective: individual freedom to develop spiritually and personally, in an environment of equality and connectedness between all people.
On 1 January 2008, the foundation (formally ‘Stichting de Zonnetuin’) was awarded the status of an organization with a public benefit (‘Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling’) by the Dutch tax authorities. All donations, endowments, etc. are tax deductible in the Netherlands. For us, the ANBI status means that we pay no tax on what we receive.
